Welcome to my new looking page. It was a though decision, I really love indexhibit and I am still using it for my other projects but for this site I needed something different, more towards a blog structure.
Dark Satanic Mill, a blog like site about a motorcycle garage filled with cafe racer stories, vintage collectibles and everything from two stroke to pipe smoke.
In regard to coments - the world around us is not a 3D rendering and life is not like a porno movie but be prepared for some rude language and explicit pictures. If you don’t agree with what I have to say, that’s fine by me. If you have something to add, please do. I love to learn new things too, this isn’t just a one-sided deal. You can be rude and use bad language, BUT please used complete words and sentences and try for Gods sake to say something meaning full. I am so full of useless shit when it comes to talking. I won’t approve your comment if you’re a jerk or I think you’re a spammer– plain and simple. Make your point like a grownup, and if you have something to sell, go fuck off and sell it somewhere else.
Because I received some strange looks due to this name let me give you just a few hints. Try to look up Blake`s poem Milton. Here is a link from wikipedia about the meaning of Dark Satanic Mills which has nothing to do with Satan worshiping. I am 100% atheist, please stay away with your Jesus crap, religion is a personal issue so keep it like that.
The second time I read about the Dark Satanic Mills was in relation with Lewis Cycle Works, an early motorcycle factory. This was the moment when I thought that is a good name for a garage/blog/vintage collection.
The term dark satanic mill refers to a critical position towards industrial development in early England, like back then I think it is still up to date. I urge everybody to think about the lack of quality and beauty of modern mass produced objects. I harvest a honest admiration for manufacturing of quality products in a small factory. Thus I love caffe racers, pipes, small scale architecture, leather jackets and beer ( not mass produced crap but the Belgian beer).
