What a nice way to kick start the day. Coffee in a classic motorcycle mug. Thank you HNZ.

Share on FacebookAnd also in the postal service. For delivering today the Sideburn 5 magazine. But I wasn’t the first to throw a peak into the magazine. My beloved HNZ took it and after finishing to run through it she said: “Nice layout”. And she wasn’t wrong saying that.
So… in mud I trust, and magazines without corporate shit. No better words to describe the mag then their own: “Outside sex shop, inside toy shop…it is the antithesis of faceless, marketing-preened modernity. In a world where all-pervasive brands breed like bacteria, city centers become identikit, high streets melt down and mega-corp brands blitz or co-opt all”, Sideburn is the antidote. (page 79, Private Shop, words: Gary Inman)
I have never rode a brakeless flat tracker, only enduros where after a steep downhill I am brakeless, but in mud we all trust. Speeding down a flat track or on a mountain track is our Spa for the weekend and the cuts, bruising and muscle cramps are the kicks to make through a headache gray week.
Great work, and the metallic title on the cover is sexy!
Alongside the magazine I also received a few stickers (the big one is already on my helmet) and an embroidered patch which goes on my leather.
Reading the magazine, a memory hit me, used to watch flat track races on old Jawas and CZ’s at my local stadium. It was my dad bringing me there back in the days when GP races were held in the city.
I searched the internet to find what happened to flat track racing back here. Well… one abandoned track waiting to be sold to an urban developer. This made me appreciate the work done by the Sideburn crew even more.
I fucked up the spell check and forgot to put a link to Sideburn. The link
Share on FacebookCould not wait for a warmer, sunnier spring so we went to the mountains this week end. Slight rain, no sun and a long track to the top of the mountain. Being a half day trip the followings were packed: duck tape, pipe with tobacco and accessories, spare glove (I hate when they are wet), spare spark plug and wrench for it, phone, Swiss knife, wallet with ID and some money and GPS on the handlebar.
Had a nice day but the weather was shit and so was my physical condition … zero. The winter had been too long.

I warmly recommend this PS3 Media Server which can be found here.
Share on FacebookI found this bike on Garage Journal forum. Built by Nimrod from Santa Cruz – as stated in his forum details.
His words for describing the motorcycle: “It’s kind of on the back burner for now. ’46 knuckle, ’32 VL frame, Royal Enfield girder. My idea of what someone would have used to build a sport bike in the early post war years.”
